Business takes on a shade of green thanks to MIP Politecnico di Milano, which is organising the Italian chapter of the CleanTech Challenge, the eighth edition of the international challenge for green and clean technologies run by the London Business School and the University College London Business.
A call for business and technology communities in order to propose new solutions in “Clean†technology application field. After setting upteams of individuals from different backgrounds (technology and business) the goal is to encourage them to develop a plan to bring the idea to the next stage, so called ‘proof-of-concept’.
A challenge between the best innovative ideas, ranging from energy to clean technologies, from electrical transport to green construction, which will be then evaluated by investors and business angels. The best project will be awarded a cheque for 5,000 euro and sent directly to London for the final phase, where it will compete against the finalist projects from all over Europe for the final prize of £10,000.
Davide Chiaroni, MIP Faculty member in charge of the Italian chapter of the CleanTech Challenge, explains:
We have taken part in this project every year since 2009. We place a lot of importance on our collaboration with the London Business School and our business sponsors. Without considering the fact that, as MIP is Politecnico’s Graduate School of Business, technology and innovation are in our DNA.
And, as we wait to find out the names of the Italian finalists to be announced, we should remember the words of Raushan Beknazarova, MBA student who runs the blog section of the Clean Technology Challenge Italia, who said:
We hear the words ‘sustainable’ and ‘sustainability’ almost every day. But what does it mean exactly? Is it about people and culture, our environment, or jobs and money? Is it about economies, politicians, the cities or the country? Is it about individuals or is it something for other people to worry about? Sustainability is about all of these things and even more.
Once again, we repeat that only the joint efforts with maximum proactiveness, agility and sustainability can deliver something worth of, some remarkable effects, some efficient managerial achievements.
A new human and professional challenge for growing leaders!
