On 23 January,  MIP will be opening its doors and presenting the MBA world. Corporate Social Responsibility will be the strategic theme of the MBA Day, which will offer an outstanding opportunity to meet people and learn more about the matters at hand.

Corporate Social Responsibility: these three words have revolutionized business practices. They require new leaders to embrace alternative visions and approaches with an increasing focus on sustainability all along their companies’ supply chains.

CSR is a topic with far-flung roots that has been a core issue at events of enormous global relevance. They include the Earth Summit in Rio in 1992, which was the first environmental conference attended by major heads of state, as well as the regular COP (Conference of the Parties) meetings that aim to take tangible, pragmatic measures to deal with the most critical and pressing sustainability-related issues. After the conference in Kyoto that led to the adoption of the eponymous protocol and the one in Doha – to name just two – it was the turn of Paris. No fewer than 195 heads of state gathered together in the French city to decide the future of the planet at COP21.

All of this goes to show that CSR is a vibrant field of debate. Consequently, MIP has decided to make its challenge for future leaders revolve around the subject in a CSR Business Game that will ensure that the MBA Day is a truly unique and engaging occasion.

Participants in the event and future candidates for MBA courses will have the chance to put themselves straight to the test by working in teams to create comprehensive business cases, thus enabling them to put their CSR expertise directly into practice.

Do not be fooled by the name: the CSR Business Game is much more than a simple team competition, because it allows participants to take their first steps towards an MBA.

Candidates who take part in the CSR Business Game will not have to take a traditional admissions test and they will also be granted an application fee waiver.

In addition, the members of the team that comes up with the best Corporate Social Responsibility strategy will be instantly rewarded for their prowess with further MIP contributions that are valid for applications for MBA courses starting in 2016.

Alongside the game, it goes without saying that plenty of detailed, in-depth information will be provided on the programs.

From 9.30 am to 1.00 pm, participants will get an exclusive first look at the new features that will be introduced in 2016. They will also be able to find out all about the different types of MBA courses on offer, such as the Full-Time MBA and the Part-Time option for people who want to continue their careers while benefitting from unprecedented educational and professional experiences.

There will also be also the managerial testimonial of Fabio De Palma, Chief of the Italian EHS Management & Sustainability Division at AECOM, who will present a real case of company best practice about the CSR topic.

The MBA Day is an unmissable event for everyone who has put “become a future leader†at the top of their list of goals for 2016.

The event will be in collaboration with the Italian Climate Network.
