MIP is gearing up to welcome the international class of the 38th edition of the International Full Time MBA program this September and we are over the moon about the big day – the official kick-off ceremony!
Talking about ceremonies, this year’s kick-off day will witness 60+ MBA participants from over 25 countries and an amazingly diverse set of cultural, professional and academic backgrounds. Our new students have subscribed to this very melting pot!
Amid all the preparations (documents, flights, visas, packing, see-off parties), we are sure that our new students must be equally excited to join their new MBA family miles away from home, miles away from their comfort zones. Therefore, to ensure that you stay calm and composed during your MBA journey, here are some tips:
- Stay grounded: The initial days can full be procedural formalities, gatherings and running around which can be draining. The key is to stay focused and prioritize. Do not forget to stay in touch with your loved ones back home. This will help you stay collected and de-stress yourself at the same time. Other stress buffers include aperitivos and Italian food!
- Networking is key: The MBA program will offer a plethora of contact-points with companies and top executives and it’s all about being at the right place at the right time. The mentors at our Career Development Office will help you hone your soft skills to get the best out of every opportunity be it cracking an interview or pitching a business idea.
- Ask for help: We are aware that settling down in a new city and environment can be challenging and we are here to help. Don’t hesitate to ask for information and support from our staff in the program coordination and international students office. On a personal level, seek out friends and groups who share your interests to keep yourself busy during the downtime and use it as a way of personal and cultural exploration.
Each year, the MBA candidates up the stakes and take on new challenges in fresher and more innovative ways than ever before and each past cohort has set up tall expectations.
We wish all the best to the 2017 batch who we will believe will come out in flying colors.
The game begins!
