Bienvenue à Lyon!
If there is one thing that I will never doubt during my MBA, it is that I made the right decision to go on an exchange to France. Thanks to MIP and its partnerships, I had the chance to spend a few months in Lyon and attend my electives at EMLYON. Based in Ecully, in the Western suburbs of Lyon, only 30 min by bus from Lyon, EMLYON is the fourth Business School in France, one of the longest established in Europe with a remarkable program on entrepreneurship and innovation.
Where the Saône and Rhône meet, Lyon, la ville qui donne faim, is ready to welcome you with its charm and elegance. The gastronomic capital of France, the birthplace of one of the most famous French chefs, Paul Bocuse, Lyon will delight your palate with numerous bouchon, the typical lyonnaise restaurants.
In Lyon you cannot get bored easily, it looks like a little Paris, squares and impressive monuments, great museums and well-kept parks, like the Parc Tête d’Or, where you can spend pleasant afternoons with friends. Not to mention the whole modern area with skyscrapers, trendy clubs, cafés and, of course, an energetic nightlife.
Attending classes at EMLYON is not an easy task. The electives here are 12-hour full immersion program that keep you busy all day long. In fact, here the courses are concentrated in two days and most of the time you have some pre-work, team working, individual assignment and an exam at the end of the course. Doing an exchange programme is an excellent opportunity to meet various groups of people from around the world, spend quality time with them and exchange experiences and practices. In addition, living and studying with international students will broaden your horizons and enable you to build strong social network with people through the continents. Last but not least, one of the most immediate benefits of this experience is learning a new language… maintenant je parle français!
