After the big success of the last 7th and 8th November, the Eat Market is coming back to Milan to become a monthly event for the joy of all street food lovers. The second appointment was the last 6th and 7th February, two days devoted to food from all over the world, where people could taste food from a vast number of nationalities.
A special time for the city of Milan, which has recently hosted the EXPO 2015 with the special theme of “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”, making Milan a global gastronomic capital.
Once again Milan and food go at the same pace where food found its motherhood, but this time the context is a little bit different. The Eat Market is the first Italian flea food market. The idea comes from the markets of East London and New York where you can find all kind of food. The peculiarity is that you can watch the food getting prepared, a sort of live cooking show! Cooked and eaten!
The framing of the event is the East Market in the Lambrate district, revamped over the years and emerging as the new design district.
To welcome you in this huge space, a former factory, there are a lot of mini trucks, I counted nearly 20, offering many delicacies. It is really hard to stay high and dry as the Eat Market satisfies all palates. In fact, you can find from gluten free to vegetarian, from hamburgers to Chinese dumplings passing by fried fish and Mexican Specialties. Of course Italian food is present as well.
As you can imagine the food is the main protagonist, but, of course, it is not the only one. You can enjoy special cocktails and a variety of beers while the DJ set makes the atmosphere even more pleasant.
A great alternative experience to enjoy with friends in the weekend. Believe me you will not be disappointed.
Another good reason to come to Milan!
The venue is in via Privata Giovanni Ventura 14. Free entry from 12 to 24.
