The birth of Wardroba was closely linked to MIP Politecnico di Milano or, as its creators say, “it is a polytechnical story”.
The three founding partners – and creators of Wardroba – are three engineers, Fulvio Catalano, Federico Della Bella and Luca Nardone, who met in Milan during their part time MBA course at MIP. And it was also at MIP that they first met the other three members of the team, the IT engineers Nicola Casamassima, Jacopo Gasparetti and Riccardo Lazzati, who now work on the project with them.

Wardroba is an e-commerce fashion platform with clear social elements and stands apart from the others as it exclusively proposes emerging brands and designers who offer high quality products for true fashionistas.

The idea is to take advantage of the network effect of the platform to reach many smaller niches and turn them into a larger market.

But Wardroba also has other characteristics that make it a fun, new social channel. In fact, the platform gives its community members the chance to catalogue their own wardrobe and create an actual digital wardrobe to share with their friends. Basically, Wardroba allows you to choose what to wear, try quick combinations, take inspiration from your friends’ style and from the trendsetters and buy clothes from quality emerging designers.

According to the founding partners, the MIP MBA was vital for the birth of this start-up. Without their MBA, they would not have been able to access managerial skills and tools that are indispensable for the creation and management of an entrepreneurial business. In fact, thanks to the MBA, it was possible to pass from the concept to the market.

Furthermore, thanks to MIP, the Wardroba project was able to enjoy great visibility and benefit from useful networking opportunities. It has, for example, participated in the Expo 2015 thematic tables organised by Milan’s Chamber of Commerce to involve the economic-entrepreneurial system in the opportunities generated by EXPO 2015.

Even the Polihub, the incubator of Politecnico di Milano , had an important role in the genesis of Wardroba. In fact, it helped the new entrepreneurs throughout all the phases of creating the company, offering services  especially studied for start-ups, as well as the possibility of having operative premises within its structure.

An MBA at MIP is not only a chance to further your training, but also a launch pad and valid support in realising your entrepreneurial ideas.

If you have an entrepreneurial dream, an MBA at MIP will give you the technical knowledge and all the support that a new company needs to break into the market.
